This landed home in Bedok was designed around a sentimental modern idea, warm oak fluting wrapped continuously around the stair core so the timber becomes the spine of the house. Glass balustrades keep the stair light, and a double-volume void above the dining area carries a sculptural cluster of pendants down through the space.

Soft plaster walls, pale timber flooring and generous glazing let daylight move across the fluting through the day, while a walnut-panelled study and a playful children's room give the family rooms their own identity. The result is a home that feels warm, tactile, and quietly personal.
